Opportunity OverviewThe Managing Director, AI Product Management & Future of Work is responsible for setting the strategy for the firm's portfolio of enterprise AI products, including reusable AI models and agents that power multiple downstream business and functional experiences. This role also serves as the firm's enterprise leader for AI-driven Future of Work, defining how AI will reshape work across functions and leading the visioning, consulting, and activation of AI-enabled workforce transformation.
This role leads a team of AI Product Managers and serves as the senior product authority for AI-as-a-product across the firm - from ideation and discovery through launch, adoption, and ongoing optimization. This role will also lead the AI Future of Work Strategists responsible for shaping the enterprise Future of Work strategy for the home office, ensuring AI is thoughtfully integrated into workflows, talent models, and ways of working.
Building on deep hands-on experience in AI product management, this leader ensures that AI products are designed as scalable, reusable capabilities rather than one-off solutions. The role translates firmwide business strategy into a cohesive AI product roadmap, defines success metrics for AI value creation, and ensures consistent application of responsible AI practices and regulatory expectations across the AI product portfolio. This role treats AI itself as the product - owning shared AI models and agent's capabilities that are consumed across multiple products and platforms.
The role also ensures that AI adoption goes beyond efficiency gains, helping leaders reimagine work, roles, and operating models to unlock new value - not simply reduce effort or hours. The role will engage on an on-going basis, in a peer-like manner, with senior leaders in functions where AI transformation is most relevant.
Sitting within the AI, Data, and Emerging Technology Lab inside EJ Labs, the Managing Director of AI Product Management & Future of Work partners closely with senior leaders across Engineering, Data, Product Management, Experience, Risk, Compliance, and Business and Functional areas. This role acts as a connector across the full AI product lifecycle, while also serving as a people leader -coaching, developing, and scaling high-performing teams to deliver measurable business impact.
What you'll do:- Set the enterprise vision and strategy for AI products, including reusable AI models and agents, aligning AI capabilities to firmwide priorities and business outcomes.
- Serve as the firm's senior expert and thought leader on AI product management and AI FOW Strategy, defining best practices and guiding enterprise adoption
- Define and lead the enterprise vision for AI-enabled Future of Work, shaping how AI will transform work across functions and the home office
- Partner with business and functional leaders to reimagine work at the team and role level, ensuring AI is used to fundamentally redesign workflows- not just reduce effort or capacity
- Drive firmwide AI visioning fluency, enabling leaders to confidently adopt and apply AI in their teams
- Ensure alignment between AI product strategy and workforce, talent, and operating model implications
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, helping them understand the art of the possible for AI and its implications for how work is performed
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of AI Product Managers and AI FOW Strategists
- Establish clear standards for discovery, delivery, value measurement, and lifecycle management.
- Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable technical and product requirements for enterprise AI products and shared AI capabilities.
- Oversee product discovery, validation, and prioritization across the AI product portfolio, ensuring consistent application of hypothesis-driven and outcome-oriented practices.
- Define and govern success metrics for AI models and agents, including performance, adoption, reusability, scalability, and business impact.
- Ensure responsible AI practices, risk management, and regulatory compliance are embedded throughout the AI product lifecycle.
- Partner with Business and Functional leaders to identify high-value AI opportunities and expand the art of the possible for AI-enabled transformation.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Data, Experience, and Product Management leaders to ensure AI products are reliable, explainable, secure, and easily integrated into downstream systems.
- Communicate AI product strategy, progress, risks, and outcomes to senior stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Shape and maintain AI product roadmaps, themes, initiatives, epics, and user stories in alignment with enterprise priorities.
- Guide lifecycle ownership of AI models and agents, including versioning, monitoring, retraining strategies, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure AI models and agents are designed for reuse across low-code agents, mini applications, applets, and internal tooling.
- Support portfolio-level resource planning, dependency management, and risk mitigation across multiple AI product teams.
- Partner closely with Digital Product Management leaders to ensure shared AI capabilities meet downstream product needs and drive adoption at scale.
- Stay current on emerging AI trends, technologies, and regulatory developments, translating insights into product strategy and capability evolution.
Position RequirementsWhat you'll need: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, product management, or a related field.
- 12+ years of product management experience, including leading complex, technology-driven products from discovery through lifecycle management.
- 5+ years of experience in AI/ML product development, including ownership of AI models or agent-based capabilities, at commercial scale.
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise transformation, future of work initiatives, or large-scale operating model redesign
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive mindset shifts related to how work is structured and performed
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, including building, coaching, and leading product management teams.
- Strong understanding of AI technologies, model and agent lifecycles, and their application within financial services.
- Expertise in product operating models, including AI-driven product development lifecycle (PDLC).
- Experience defining and tracking metrics for AI product performance, adoption, and business impact.
- Deep knowledge of responsible AI practices, governance, and regulatory considerations.
- Strong collaboration and influence skills across business, technology, risk, and compliance partners.
