Opportunity Overview

Canada Learning is responsible for building new capabilities critical to our firm's strategy at speed and scale, ensuring our 2,000 branch team members are reskilled and upskilled to deliver on our commitment to serving more clients, more completely through a purpose-driven, holistic financial experience.

The Learning Experience Designer (LXD) is responsible for supporting Financial Advisors, Financial Advisor trainees, Client Support Team members and Home Office associates as they pursue regulatory and elective courses to continuously develop their industry knowledge, wealth management acumen, advisory acumen, and practice management acumen. They will also be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of multi-modal high performance learning experiences that build learner capabilities, drive behavior change, and result in needed performance results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate delivery of learning experiences, including in-person and virtual sessions, workshops, and peer-led discussions.
  • Lead the design, development, delivery and curation of fit-to-purpose learning experiences that align with business strategy and drive performance outcomes.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and deliver learning experiences that drive measurable performance improvement.
  • Partner with Home Office colleagues, end-users, stakeholders, and leaders to ensure learning solutions are impactful, scalable, and learner centric.
  • Anticipate and recommend opportunities to optimize learning experiences, with emphasis on skill practice and application using scenario-based design, case studies, and academies.
  • Own the learner-centered creative design process, including conducting learner research, co-creating with end-users, prototyping, and validating learning experiences. This includes championing the integration of emerging technologies, including AI, to evolve learning experiences, enhance personalization, and improve learner outcomes.
  • Support the development and execution of learning measurement plans; analyze insights to continuously improve learning effectiveness and business impact.
  • Serve as a strategic contributor and informal leader within dynamic, autonomous, matrixed teams responsible for end-to-end implementation of learning projects.
  • Lead design, development, and validation sessions to create the conditions for iterative learner-centered design, resulting in quality at scale.
  • Stay current on research and practices in Learning & Development, Practice Management, field/practice needs, and related fields, experimenting with new applications and processes to optimize learning experiences.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Lead consultative engagements with stakeholders applying Practice Management expertise to shape learning strategy and performance enablement; build organizational acumen through strategic guidance and partnership.
  • Design and apply measurement strategies to assess learning effectiveness, generate actionable insights, and drive continuous improvement across learning initiatives.
  • Co-lead the development and execution of learning strategies that align with business priorities, leveraging data, insights, and design expertise to inform direction and impact.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in learning experience design, providing thought leadership, mentoring, and quality assurance across design practices and methodologies.


Position Requirements

Required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (Education, Organizational Psychology, Human Capital Management, or related field)
  • 3+ years of proven experience designing, developing, and curating interactive multi-modal learning learning and performance experiences that achieve business objectives
  • 3+ years of proven experience facilitating the delivery of learning experiences, including in-person and virtual sessions, workshops, and peer-led discussions
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Rise, Storyline, Vyond, Xyleme, and Adobe Creative Cloud
Preferred
  • Experience designing and delivering onboarding sessions
  • 3+ years of financial services industry or position-related experience preferred
  • Adult Learning certification preferred
  • Financial Services Professional Designation preferred (ex. CFP, QAFP, PFP, CIWM, CFA) or willing to obtain
  • Bilingual (Fluency in English/French both written and verbal)
