Full Job Description
Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience working in a board testing technical environment.
  • Experience with Python, Linux, lab tools, test automation, data analysis, and board testing.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in more than one discipline related to hardware test, hardware qualification, and manufacturing (e.g., signal integrity, power circuit testing, optical testing, network testing, scripting, and hardware test execution automation using Python).
  • Experience with Linux or other Unix operating systems (Ubuntu or RHEL), shell scripts, Python.
  • Knowledge of computer systems: physical, functional, logical, mechanical, electrical, software, thermal etc
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings such as schematics, datasheets, and written work instructions.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and excellent people-management skills, with the ability to coordinate and manage the needs of multiple lab users.


About the job

As a Hardware Test Engineer, you will be supporting a team of hardware design, test, and qualification engineers who are responsible for prototype bring-up, validation, qualification, and failure analysis of machine learning technologies such as CPU/TPU/GPU, DDR memory, storages and high-speed interconnects. You will also be responsible for liaison between hardware engineering teams and the lab team to ensure lab resources are accounted for and to ensure we are 'lab-ready' for new products entering the research and development labs or sustaining efforts. In addition you will help to manage lab budget, hiring, performance management, and the well-being of the team as well as ensuring the labs are well organized and providing a safe working environment.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $132000 - $190000 (USD) 15% bonus target bonus equity benefits

Responsibilities
  • Support various hardware prototype bringup and qualification testing activities by developing Python automation test script to facilitate system performance regression testing and failure reproduction.
  • Develop software and infrastructure required for managing fleet of test systems at scale to avoid manual configuration and test execution; Develop quality data collection systems and visualization of the data (i.e. measurements).
  • Provide integrated software to synchronize test execution on Device-under-Test (DUT) with external smart measurement instrumentation.
  • Support a team of hardware designers, qualification and test engineers, on project planning within hardware development labs, and ensure adequate resources are met as required.
