Qualifications/Requirements:
Serves as a Special Access Program (SAP) security specialist, providing expert technical advice on personnel access management, classification management, security violations, security education and training, and security inspections. The role involves planning, organizing, and directing SAP security for assigned programs, facilities, and acquisition systems. The specialist acts as the Government SAP Security Officer (GSSO), maintains security oversight, and represents the organization to various DoD and government entities.
Expertise in program protection, physical, system, information, industrial, personnel, and operations security.
Extensive knowledge of organizational missions, functions, and structure for implementing security for special programs.
Expertise in developing, analyzing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers.
Knowledge of government contractual practices for USAF acquisition programs and the Defense Industrial Base.
Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) is required. Additionally, Security Asset Protection Professional Certification conferrals are required within 2 years of the start date.
Additional Requirements:
The employee must obtain and maintain a security clearance commensurate with the position's sensitivity code (SSBI for Special-Sensitive/High Risk). The clearance level is Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
This is a designated national security position.

The employee may be required to work outside of normal business hours.
