The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a full-time Cyber Security Analyst (INFOSEC), GS-2210-12 located at the Information Assurance Division, Maxwell Air Force Base, Montgomery, AL.
Salary Rate: $89,000 - 101,000

Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period
In this position, you serve as an Information Technology (IT) Specialist (INFOSEC), principal Information System Security Manager (ISSM), for Air Force Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps Enterprise Systems and Applications. Responsible for the establishment, implementation, and oversight of the AF JAG Corps Program for all Automated Information Systems (AIS), to include those under development, and all levels of automated operations, networks supporting automated operations, and transmission from such operations and/or networks. Information transmission may include voice, data, and/or video IAW Department of Defense (DoD) policy for Integrated Systems Digital Networks (ISDN). Serves as point of contact (POC) for all aspects of cybersecurity and system security on behalf of the Chief, Information Security Division Manager.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance
Knowledge of, and skill in, applying advanced information technology security, and policy and planning principles, concepts, methods, standards, etc., sufficient to provide expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to Command-wide management and Information Technology Specialists on critical IT issues and complex IT development applications, especially cybersecurity
Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures
Ability to plan, organize, and guide the functions and staff of a small to medium-sized organization
Knowledge to maintain, review, and coordinate the accreditation process that includes threat identification, vulnerability determination, and risk assessment to make sound recommendations to senior management
Information Assurance Certification is a condition of employment. This position includes information assurance (IA) work as a paramount duty requirement. Per DoD 8570.01-M, the incumbent must achieve the appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment. A waiver may be granted per DoD 8570.01-M, C3.2.4.2 or C3.2.4.3. Failure to receive proper IA certification may result in removal from this position.
