You'll bridge sales, operations, and client services - turning prospects into long-term relationships and guiding them from signed contract through full, successful implementation. This role will be hybrid; requiring 4 days in the office. This role requires 50% travel. Your home base office can be in Austin, DFW, or Houston.
Job Summary

The Growth Manager, Housing Development is responsible for driving organizational growth by identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities, while ensuring a seamless and positive onboarding experience for new clients, partners, or customers. This role bridges sales, operations, and client services to convert prospects into long-term relationships and ensure successful integration from contract execution through full implementation.Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities aligned with organizational strategy and growth objectives
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline through networking, referrals, inbound leads, and strategic outreach
  • Lead discovery conversations to understand client needs, challenges, and goals
  • Develop and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and pricing recommendations
  • Negotiate contracts in partnership with legal, finance, and leadership teams
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer insights to inform strategy
Client / Customer Onboarding
  • Own the end-to-end onboarding experience from contract execution through successful launch
  • Serve as the primary point of contact during onboarding, ensuring clear communication and expectation setting
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (sales, operations, HR, IT, finance, implementation, etc.) to meet onboarding milestones
  • Develop and maintain onboarding plans, timelines, and documentation
  • Identify risks proactively and drive resolution to ensure successful client integration
  • Ensure all compliance, documentation, and operational requirements are met
Relationship Management & Retention
  • Establish trusted relationships with new clients to promote satisfaction and long-term retention
  • Conduct regular check-ins during early engagement to ensure goals are being met
  • Partner with account management or customer success teams for smooth handoff post-onboarding
  • Capture client feedback and recommend improvements to processes and offerings
Process & Continuous Improvement
  • Refine business development and onboarding processes to improve efficiency and scalability
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, onboarding timelines, and client satisfaction
  • Create and maintain onboarding tools, templates, and best practices
  • Participate in strategic planning and growth initiatives
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, client onboarding, account management, or related roles
  • Proven success in closing new business and managing complex stakeholder relationships
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities

The Salary for this role is $85,000 - $90,000.Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in B2B, professional services, HR, benefits, technology, or consulting environments
  • CRM experience (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
  • Familiarity with onboarding or implementation methodologies
  • Leadership or team-mentoring experience

Other Requirements
  • Time commitment: 40 hours per week
  • If driving for VOA Texas Property Management business: MVR background check (good driving record) and valid Texas driver's license required
  • Must use a personal (non-agency) vehicle for transportation; mileage will be reimbursed
