What You'll Be Doing

As a Group Product Manager within the Transaction Banking Payments Product team, you will be managing a portfolio of Everyday Payment Products - Bill Payments and Interac e-Transfer. You will be supporting the Director of Everyday Payments in achieving business objectives, and managing the relationship with various partners throughout the bank for all facets of the product relationship. You will work with the Senior Product Manager in the development, management, presentation and implementation of projects production your product portfolio, including tactics that will build the business and optimize profitability, efficiency, growth and improve the client experience.

How You'll Succeed
  • Product Management - Provide on-going management of the assigned product portfolio, focusing on maximizing market share and profitability of products through collection of revenue, regular competitive reviews and cost management. Develop product roadmaps and recommendations for consideration by management and subsequent incorporation into Cash Managements overall business plan. Assist with the implementation of new processes and procedures, defining criteria to monitor on-going compliance to established service level agreements, and ensuring service levels meet or exceed the client's expectations and the standards of key major competitors with reasonable consistency. Communicate business strategy and initiative updates to large groups of people via presentation formats to deliver clear, concise and effective communication.
  • Collaboration - Act as a focal point for product and market information for the assigned product portfolio, providing specialized support for key client solutions during the sales cycle. Provide subject matter expertise to various internal business partners in order to support key stakeholders, business cases, requirement documents, product collateral and communications. Contribute to strategy, annual business plans, development of recommendations and business cases for programs supporting business banking clients.
  • Project Management & Continuous Improvement - Develop recommendations inclusive of research market activities to ensure timely and comprehensive knowledge of technology, target market segments, and key clients is reflected. Lead in the development of options and proposals for projects related to product enhancements and developments and make recommendations regarding impact, effectiveness and feasibility.
  • Relationship Management - Manage partnerships with referral-based vendors and suppliers for cash management and payments products. Ensure alignment to CIBC strategic objectives by collaborating with partners to develop go-to-market strategies, joint roadmaps and agree annual targets. Optimize CIBC client and colleague experience with partner products through effective client segmentation, support mechanisms and process improvements. Act as an internal advocate with sales and distribution stakeholders, taking a lead role when client escalations occur.

You have strong knowledge of strategic planning with demonstrated project delivery skills and understanding of business casing principles. Product Management experience in the Business to Business market space is considered an asset.
