The Planning team is responsible for ensuring financial success of the company. They work closely with Merchandising to understand new product trends (Merchandising) and regional/climate selling, size trends, and ensures product is sent to the right Distribution Centre. The team monitors the business on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis, understanding changes in trend and reacting to the business to maximize sales and mitigate risk. The priority is to understand and protect the guest experience, followed by delivering profitable sales growth.

core responsibilities

The Global Merchandise Planner partners with Global Merchants to support the development of financial architecture and global category plans as inputs to Global Line Architecture (Sales, IMU, CC Targets). This person is responsible for completing the global quantification of the assortment that support departmental/divisional merchandise strategies they own. The Global Merchandise Planner partners with Global Merchandising to incorporate relevant regional input to build and quantify shell plans and preliminary assortments, supporting both Global and Regional seasonal strategies. They must collaborate effectively with Global and Regional Planning, Sourcing, Production and the Global Brand Team to bring the product line to life. The Global Merchandise Planner must also be flexible as the function evolves with new processes, tools and systems.

  • Partner with Global Merchandising to support on the Global Line Architecture
  • Complete pre-season quantification of the assortment plan for line planning and vendor allocation purposes
  • Prepare and update rolling 24-month demand plans on a monthly basis and reconcile to each buy milestone
  • Ad hoc analysis
  • Advise in Seasonal Product Roadmap
  • Advise in Seasonal Assortment Strategy
  • Provide analysis to support price architecture strategies
  • Put together content for showback to CPO (include strategy, directional investment level)
qualifications
  • College certificate or University degree is required, preferably in Commerce or Business Administration
  • 5-8 Years of Planning experience or progressive financial analysis and reporting experience
  • Expert knowledge of Excel is required
  • Excellent team player as well as the ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills (written & verbal) & extremely organized, thorough and able to prioritize
  • Detail orientated & analytical
  • Results oriented - strong sense of motivation

compensation and benefits package

lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and teamperformance. Thetypical hiring range for this position is from$104,600-$137,300annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
