We're looking for a talented, motivated communications professional to drive executive communications strategy and deliverables. This position will have the unique opportunity to interact with strategic partners across the company and learn the fundamentals of being a trusted communications advisor for executive leadership. The successful candidate will be a driven, process-oriented, highly organized self-starter who can successfully manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary project manager for speaking engagements to include drafting remarks, creating powerpoints and other visuals, incorporating feedback and delivering readahead packages.
  • Build and execute an annual executive communications strategy for executives to deliver brand-shaping narratives.
  • Work cross functionally with members of the International and Global Business development teams and business area and enterprise communicators to develop compelling narratives and proof points that align with the business strategy.
  • Craft articles, talking points, leave-behinds and other content with a focus on customer priorities.
  • Manage executive social media; craft posts, amplify relevant content and curate an audience.
  • Manage and analyze metrics.
  • Remain agile and responsive to evolving business communications needs, managing multiple workstreams and deadlines.
  • Provide back-up support and contribute as needed to deliver on team priorities.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in PR, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English or equivalent and professional training.
  • 6+ years relevant experience in corporate communications, PR and/or marketing communications. Industry or government experience a plus.
  • Working knowledge of global news environment and ability to stay abreast of geopolitical developments.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, including the use of AP Style.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Experience creating and implementing communications plans.
  • Ability to build both strategic and tactical plans that drive perceptions, deliver key messages and get results.
  • Familiarity with a wide variety of communication channels, techniques and emerging technologies, with a natural curiosity that leads to continuous improvement.
  • Proven exceptional strategic, written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to persuade and motivate action.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $100200.00 - $186200.00

Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market(work location) and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Flexible work arrangements and schedules (e.g., 4x10), 401(k) match, Paid time off, Holidays, Parental Leave, EAP, Flexible Spending Accounts, Education Assistance, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability.
  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
