Job Overview:

Weatherford have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Global Aftermarket Service Leader to join the MPD (Managed Pressure Drilling) Team at the MPD Center of Excellence in North Houston.

As an Aftermarket Leader, you will be responsible for driving profitable aftermarket growth by developing customer relationships, identifying commercial opportunities, and serving as the primary point of contact throughout the customer lifecycle. This role owns the commercial strategy for assigned accounts, including repairs and maintenance (R&M), spare parts, upgrades, rentals, software, and technical services.

Responsibilities:

Customer Relationship Management:
  • Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for assigned customers.
  • Develop trusted relationships with customer stakeholders across operations, drilling, maintenance, procurement, and supply chain.
  • Conduct regular customer visits, business reviews, and opportunity planning sessions.
  • Understand customer operational plans, maintenance schedules, and upcoming aftermarket needs.

Business Development:
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new aftermarket opportunities across:
    • Repair & Maintenance (R&M)
    • Spare Parts
    • Upgrades
    • Rentals
    • Software
    • Technical Services
  • Build and maintain a healthy opportunity pipeline aligned with regional growth objectives.
  • Develop account growth strategies focused on increasing share of wallet and long-term customer partnerships.

Commercial Strategy
  • Develop pricing strategies aligned with company pricing governance.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, framework agreements, and customer proposals.
  • Collaborate with pricing, engineering, and operations to develop competitive solutions.
  • Drive opportunity conversion while maximizing profitability.

Opportunity Management
  • Own the commercial lifecycle from opportunity identification through customer purchase order.
  • Ensure opportunities are accurately maintained within Salesforce and forecasting tools.
  • Coordinate with the Aftermarket Commercial Operations Coordinator to transition awarded work into execution.
  • Remain engaged throughout execution to support customer communications and resolve commercial issues.

Customer Experience
  • Serve as the escalation point for strategic customer issues.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers regarding opportunity progress, project status, and overall account performance.
  • Lead post-project reviews and identify additional aftermarket opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related discipline preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, account management, aftermarket services, oil & gas, industrial equipment, or commercial operations.
  • Experience developing customer relationships within technical or industrial environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and ERP platforms.
