Role Description:

Arcadis is seeking to fill the Global Account Leader (GAL) position for an integrated energy client. The GAL for this Key Global Client in the Energy & Resources Market Sector will lead a diverse, energized, and focused team aligned around the client's current organization, our existing business engagements, and the pursuit of high-value growth opportunities.

This global role can be based in any country where Arcadis has a registered legal entity and the client has substantial operations. The GAL will report to the Global Market Sector Director. Working under the direction of the global market sector and Business Area leadership, the GAL will be responsible for developing and implementing the account strategy; driving profitable growth; and leading the account team in pursuing and delivering diversified services across all Arcadis Business Areas.

The GAL will work in close collaboration with Growth teams-Pursuits, Solutions, and Commercial Excellence-to ensure alignment with our sector-led and GBA go-to-market strategies.

The GAL will also contribute to Arcadis' Client Experience (CX) program, participate in account performance reviews, and engage in the account leadership community of practice.

Role Accountabilities:
  • Advancing long-term, sustainable, profitable growth for the Global Account.
  • Developing/expanding a network of relationships across the client's global organization, locations, and geographies to create inspired partnerships and exceptional experiences, and establish Arcadis as a trusted partner to enable Arcadis to have maximum impact.
  • Understanding the client's business objectives and industry trends, as well as competitor market intelligence.
  • Development of a client account strategy aligned with the client's business objectives and market sector strategy through annual and multi-year planning. Communication of the account strategy and updates to the strategy to the account team.
  • Collaboration with Market Sector, Solutions, and Operations teams to prepare and regularly update the Account Plans to translate strategy and sector heat maps into concrete objectives, actions, and outcomes.
  • Development of key account metrics and goals aligned with the client's priorities to drive performance and demonstrate sustainable value to the client and the client's customers.
  • Promoting and maintaining an accurate and updated optimistic pipeline of new opportunities.
  • Engagement of the Arcadis ways of working, including the Business Area, our pursuit process.
  • Ensuring delivery of profitable projects with exceptional quality, adhering to agreed schedules and budgets; working closely with Operations leadership to resolve issues/challenges, implement best practices, and improve delivery processes.
  • Promoting a positive account team culture built on growth and accountability; working with and mentoring project teams to facilitate team success; and achieving high performance, growth, and personal/professional development.
  • Fostering continuity in the account leadership team by ensuring the right talent, expertise, and knowledge are in place to sustain growth and deliver consistent client value.

Key Shared Responsibilities:
  • Engagement in disciplined Go/No-Go assessments of opportunities, qualifies leads that are aligned with our ability to win and key business and risk objectives.
  • Collaboration with (G)BA Solutions and (G)BA Operations teams to develop differentiated service and value propositions for account and pursuit strategies.
  • Recruiting, developing, and managing employees; coaching and mentoring to achieve high performance, growth, and personal development.
  • Coordinating thought leadership activities through multiple channels (white papers, blogs, conferences, webinars, and events) to bring value to Arcadis and enhance our visibility within our clients' organizations and the broader market.

Qualifications and Experience:

Required Qualifications:
  • A degree in a relevant industry discipline, with substantial experience in leading client development and sales for major Energy & Natural Resources Sector accounts. Experience as an account leader or program manager in an engineering consultancy or professional services firm is essential.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in client development, including at least 5 years in a global or regional account leadership role, demonstrating strategic leadership and vision.
  • Proven ability to work internationally with clients, effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, challenge the status quo, and drive diversification and growth of key accounts.
  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting a culture of health and safety stewardship.

Additional Desired Experience:
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong advocacy for health & safety practices, visibly championing these principles in the workplace.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the diverse range of services and solutions offered by Arcadis, with the capability to sell and deliver these across multiple business areas.
  • Proficiency in embracing digital tools and standardized approaches (e.g., Global Excellence Centers) to enhance and streamline service delivery.

We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days of PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $164,063 - $235,157. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
