Full Job Description
Bridgecross LLC is seeking an experienced GIS Integration Specialist II to support a federal customer within the NOAA Marine Chart Division (MCD). This role provides senior-level GIS software development, integration, and cloud-based product dissemination support for mission-critical nautical charting systems. The specialist will maintain and enhance NOAA's charting applications, support S-100 product distribution, and ensure reliable delivery of navigation products used across the maritime community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, integrate, and maintain GIS applications supporting NOAA's charting and navigation systems.
  • Support dissemination of S-57 and S-100 products including S-101, S-102, S-104, S-111, and S-128.
  • Maintain NOAA's public-facing charting websites, including ENC Download pages, Chart Locator, Navigation Updates, Vector Tile Service, and Historical Chart Collection.
  • Build and upload daily ENC include files and ensure successful AWS deployment and updates.
  • Coordinate ENC batch releases with NOAA production branches and international partners (IC-ENC).
  • Maintain ENC titles and metadata within MCD databases.
  • Support NOAA Custom Chart (NCC) application, including UI enhancements, server-side configuration, and custom symbology scripting (Lua, XML, SVG).
  • Maintain programming scripts and repositories in NOAA Virtual Lab (VLab).
  • Provide Tier I and Tier II support for AWS-based dissemination systems, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and redeployments.
  • Ensure 95%+ system uptime for dissemination systems.
  • Build product exchange sets in conformance with IHO standards.
  • Collaborate with NOAA cloud administrators to meet maintenance, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain technical documentation and coordinate with federal technical stakeholders.


Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in GIS software development and integration.
  • Hands-on experience with Esri ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Maritime, and GIS automation workflows.
  • Experience supporting AWS cloud environments.
  • Proficiency with Python, SQL, Lua, XML, and GIS scripting.
  • Experience with raster and vector formats (GeoTIFF, BAG, Geopackage, SVG).
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a distributed technical team.
