Full Job Description
As the General Litigation & Worker's Compensation Attorney, you will work with the Chief Legal Officer to manage caseloads involving workers' compensation matters, working cases from beginning to end. Minimum 10 years' experience in commercial and civil/insurance defense litigation.

Essential Functions:

  • Independently manage your own caseload involving workers' compensation matters, working cases from beginning to end.
  • Handle all aspects of workers' compensation litigation including taking depositions and making appearances.
  • Assume responsibility for cases at all levels of complexity.
  • Develop and enact strategies leading to efficient resolution of cases.
  • Negotiate and settle cases.
  • Draft pleadings, reports, and other legal documents required.


Competencies:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience including heavy emphasis in worker's compensation law and commercial liability.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal skills.


Required education and experience:

  • Law degree from an accredited law school.
  • Candidates must be licensed to practice law in a US state.

  • Must meet I-9 requirements.
