Job Description

Role: Slalom Flex (Project Based) - Senior Business Analyst

Location: Dallas, TX

*Please note: This role is not eligible for remote work. Employees must live within a commutable distance of the Dallas area and have the ability to be onsite up to 3 days per week*

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will partner with business leaders, technology teams, architects, and vendor partners to support the strategic direction of enterprise technology initiatives. You will play a key role in evaluating business capabilities, defining future-state processes, facilitating solution design discussions, and ensuring technology investments align with organizational goals and long-term business strategy.

This role requires a highly consultative professional who can bridge business and technology teams, translate strategic objectives into actionable requirements, and support enterprise-wide initiatives that improve operational efficiency, scalability, and member experience.

What You'll Do
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand strategic goals, business priorities, and operational challenges.
• Facilitate enterprise solution design discussions for complex initiatives and cross-platform technology implementations.
• Translate business strategies, objectives, and capability needs into clear business requirements and solution recommendations.
• Support the development of scalable and integrated technology solutions that align with enterprise goals and technology roadmaps.
• Analyze business capabilities, processes, systems, and data flows to identify opportunities for modernization, optimization, or consolidation.
• Document current-state and future-state business processes, capabilities, and operating models.
• Collaborate with architects and technical teams to define integration requirements, business data flows, and system interoperability needs.
• Support enterprise architecture and technology governance processes by ensuring business requirements align with established standards and best practices.
• Lead requirements gathering workshops, stakeholder interviews, design sessions, and decision-making discussions.
• Identify and document business impacts, dependencies, assumptions, risks, and constraints associated with proposed solutions.
• Evaluate vendor solutions, new technologies, and emerging capabilities to determine alignment with business objectives and enterprise strategy.
• Contribute to business case development, including benefits analysis, strategic alignment, and value realization assessments.
• Develop executive-ready presentations, recommendations, and decision-support materials for leadership stakeholders.
• Partner with project managers, product teams, architects, and technology delivery teams throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on requirements management, business process analysis, and solution evaluation.
• Support change readiness, stakeholder engagement, and organizational adoption activities as needed.

What You'll Bring
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience working in complex enterprise environments with multiple business units and technology platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate strategic discussions between business and technical stakeholders.
• Strong experience gathering, documenting, and validating business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Experience leading workshops, requirements sessions, and solution design discussions.
• Knowledge of business process modeling, capability mapping, process improvement, and enterprise analysis techniques.
• Strong understanding of system integrations, data flows, APIs, and cross-platform business processes.
• Experience contributing to technology modernization, digital transformation, or enterprise platform initiatives.
• Exceptional communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
• Ability to identify risks, dependencies, impacts, and implementation considerations associated with business and technology changes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
• Experience in financial services, banking, credit unions, or other highly regulated industries.
• Experience supporting enterprise architecture, technology strategy, or digital transformation programs.
• Familiarity with business architecture concepts, capability modeling, and strategic planning.
• Experience evaluating vendor platforms, SaaS solutions, and enterprise technology investments.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• CBAP, PMI-PBA, AAC, SAFe, or similar certifications.
• Experience working with cloud-based platforms and digital modernization initiatives.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the hourly pay range is $80 to $85/HR depending on experience. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The hourly pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
