Functional Test Lead

The Role

UST is searching for an experienced Functional Test Lead with strong healthcare payer domain expertise across Claims, Enrollment, Membership, Billing, Provider, Prior Authorization, Care Management, and EDI transactions.

What You'll Do
• Lead functional discovery workshops with business, product, application, and testing stakeholders.
• Assess business processes, application landscape, testing scope, dependencies, and quality practices.
• Evaluate test coverage, requirements traceability, release readiness, and defect management processes.
• Identify gaps across functional testing, UAT support, governance, and operating models.
• Define future-state functional testing organization, roles, staffing, and knowledge requirements.
• Support KT, transition planning, shadow/reverse-shadow activities, and ownership transfer.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Automation, Performance, and TDM teams to shape the target-state testing model.
• Develop transition roadmaps, KPIs, SLAs, governance frameworks, and transformation recommendations.

What You Need
• 10+ years in Functional Testing or Quality Engineering with 5+ years leading testing programs or managed services engagements.
• 5+ years of experience in Facets healthcare system
• Experience in discovery, due diligence, transition assessments, and testing operating model evaluations.
• Proven experience in workforce planning, organizational design, and stakeholder management.
• Familiarity with Jira, qTest, Azure DevOps, and modern QE practices.
• Preferred Experience:
• Healthcare payer managed services transformations.
• TCoE establishment and maturity assessments.
• Test Data Management exposure.
• AI-enabled Quality Engineering initiatives.
• CMS and regulatory testing programs.

Location & Compensation

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Seattle, Washington

Compensation Range: $78,000-$117,000

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) program with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).
