Full-Stack Engineer 2

We are seeking Full-stack Software Engineers who are passionate about leveraging cutting-edge open source frameworks and emerging technologies. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of driving a major transformation across Capital One.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with Agile teams and their product managers to design, develop, test, and deliver robust, full-stack, cloud-based solutions that drive financial empowerment
- Build and deploy solutions using modern technologies and a variety of AWS services
- Participate in peer code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, and contribute to the design and documentation of scalable APIs and system interfaces
- Stay current on technology trends, experiment with new technologies, and contribute to the engineering community through learning and mentorship
- Integrate risk awareness into daily work, proactively considering potential issues related to cybersecurity, regulatory compliance (OBL, SOX), audits, and change management
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering)
- At least 1.5 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience coding with at least one of the following: Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, Scala
- 1+ years of experience with database and database management systems
- 1+ years of experience with public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies
- 2+ years of experience using open source frameworks
- 1+ years of experience with front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks
- 2+ years of experience creating synchronous and asynchronous APIs
- 1+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated testing frameworks
- 1+ years of experience using Git-based version-control systems (e.g., Git, Github, Bitbucket)
- 1+ years of experience troubleshooting technical issues within cloud environments
- Experience leveraging modern AI-based coding tools and IDE copilots
- Experience with interactive AI tooling to accelerate productivity, utilizing capabilities beyond basic code completion

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Plano, TX: $123,300 - $140,700 for Full-stack Engineer 2
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
