Description:Your opportunity:The Hospitality and Ancillary Services Department is committed to providing value to the University of Toronto Mississauga community through dining, event planning, retail, and postal services. Your responsibilities will include:- Overseeing day-to-day operational needs of the unit
- Responding to and resolving service complaints
- Keeping well-informed on guidelines and government policies with regards to serving food and beverages
- Applying established standards to ensure compliance
- Troubleshooting routine equipment repairs
- Analyzing and making recommendations for the purchase of new equipment and supplies
Essential Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
- Minimum five years of related experience
- Experience in food, beverage and alcohol operation and management is required
- Experience in events management is required
- Familiarity and knowledge of Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario regulations, including special occasion permit application
- Excellent computer skills in all of the following MS Office programs: Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams
- Must possess valid Smart Serve Ontario certification and Ontario Food Handler certification

- Working knowledge of University environment an asset
