Qualifications

• 3+ years of recent experience in managing a transit bus maintenance shop
• Proven experience in directing a team of 10+ maintenance staff
• Demonstrated handling of 50+ buses in the last year
• Preferred background in passenger transportation or similar projects
• Ability to effectively manage client relationships
• Skill in tracking parts inventory and supplier coordination
• Competence in project management and scheduling
• Strong financial management skills relevant to fleet operations
• Excellent communication skills across all staff levels
• Proficient in MS Office including word processing and spreadsheets
• Technical expertise in heavy duty vehicle repair and maintenance
• Initiative and professionalism in work ethics
• ASE or manufacturer certifications are advantageous
• Knowledge of fixed route bus maintenance and audit management
• Experience with diesel, CNG, or alternative fuels is a plus
• Valid CDL class B with necessary endorsements

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily maintenance activities for bus operations
• Ensure all contractual maintenance requirements are met
• Prepare and submit detailed daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports
• Oversee the budget for the maintenance program
• Prioritize and implement effective work schedules and projects
• Interface and communicate with clients regarding maintenance services
• Track and control parts inventory and manage supplier relationships
