They act as the final gatekeepers of quality, managing client expectations in high-pressure, client-supervised sessions.
Core Responsibilities- Supervised Sessions: Lead in-studio or remote sessions with directors, agency creatives, and producers, translating live feedback into instant visual changes.
- Advanced Compositing & Finishing: Perform complex 2D and 3D compositing, beauty retouching, rig removal, and CGI integration.
- Conforming & Mastering: Manage the timeline from offline edit to final master, ensuring color continuity, frame rates, and resolution standards are met for broadcast and web.
- Project Bidding & Scoping: Collaborate with executive producers and creative directors to break down scripts, bid VFX projects, and devise time/cost-effective pipelines.
- Team Mentorship: Oversee junior artists and assistant Flame artists, delegating tasks and reviewing their work for quality control before final delivery.
Technical Qualifications- Expertise in Autodesk Flame: Mastery of node-based and timeline environments, Matchbox shaders, Action, and Batch workflows. [1]
- Pipeline Integration: Familiarity with the broader post-production pipeline, including integration with Maya, 3D S Max, Nuke, and major color grading suites (e.g., DaVinci Resolve).
