What you will do

As a Fire Systems Manager, you will lead the delivery of Electronics and Mechanical Sprinkler projects, ensuring high customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and alignment with financial goals. You'll oversee engineering, project management, CAD operations, order entry, installation, and technical support-driving excellence across all phases of project execution.

How you will do it
  • Safety Leadership
    Ensure full compliance with Johnson Controls safety programs. Lead safety training efforts, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions in coordination with the corporate safety office.
  • Customer Satisfaction
    Partner with sales to understand customer requirements and contractual obligations. Deliver tailored solutions that meet expectations and maintain strong communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Financial Execution
    Operate within approved financial plans, managing direct and indirect costs, accounts receivable, and profitability. Drive cost-effective delivery without compromising quality.
  • Operational Oversight
    Manage support activities including contract review, submittals, engineering, CAD, scheduling, purchasing, and labor planning. Collaborate with service teams to ensure smooth project turnover.
  • Installation Management
    Lead installation efforts, including material procurement, scheduling, and subcontractor oversight. Ensure technical support and system programming meet customer specifications and code requirements.
  • Performance & Productivity
    Establish performance metrics and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Support sales teams to enhance customer service and drive business growth.
  • Team Leadership
    Hire, develop, and manage a high-performing team. Set clear goals, conduct performance reviews, and implement training and development plans. Promote a positive work environment aligned with EEO/AA goals.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    Perform other duties as assigned to support district operations and strategic initiatives.

What we look for
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred, OR equivalent Industry Experience
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in operational management or construction industry leadership.
  • Experience in Fire Alarm Life Safety and/or Sprinkler Fire Protection industries preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proven leadership in team development, negotiation, and customer engagement.
  • Ability to interpret financial statements and forecast business results.
  • Familiarity with construction contracts and terms.
  • Prior P&L management experience is a plus.
  • NICET Level II Certification (or higher) required or must be obtained.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal codes preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows-based applications.
  • Valid driver's license and driving record that meets company standards.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $100,100-150,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
