Description & RequirementsRole Overview:As the FP&A Finance Manager II, you will serve as a key finance partner to the EA SPORTS App and New Ventures teams. EA Ventures is responsible for exploring and developing products and experiences beyond traditional gaming, functioning as an internal incubation organization within EA. The team is currently focused on the EA SPORTS App, an emerging mobile platform designed to expand how fans connect with EA SPORTS through content, community, and other digital experiences beyond the core game experience. Success in this role will require the ability to operate effectively in a complex, cross-functional organization, influence stakeholders across multiple teams, and communicate confidently with senior leaders. You will provide day-to-day guidance, mentorship, and informal coaching to the Associate Finance Associate, and will report to a Finance Director. This has a hybrid work model, defined as 3 days in-office.
Responsibilities:- Lead financial planning processes, including long-range planning, annual planning, quarterly forecasts, bi-weekly updates, month-end close, and risk and opportunity assessments.
- Consolidate financial results across the overall Ventures business.
- Provide regular financial visibility into outlook, risks, and opportunities.
- Manage the overall financial health of the portfolio, including full P&L responsibility.
- Partner on M&A-related analysis and support as needed.
- Establish and track performance metrics across major products, initiatives, and projects.
- Deliver ad hoc financial analysis and decision support to business partners.
- Provide guidance on core finance processes, while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline deliverables.
- Balance competing priorities and develop creative solutions that drive results.
- Support skill development and growth of junior team members through mentorship and day-to-day guidance (no formal supervisory responsibility)
Qualifications:- 7+ years of experience in mid-level to senior finance roles, including financial planning and analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience managing P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and evaluating performance metrics for live service or mobile businesses
- Demonstrated accounting knowledge, including GAAP
- Advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint, and experience using Anaplan and Power BI.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior team members without formal supervisory authority
- Experience communicating for a range of different audiences, including executive-level storytelling.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior team members without formal people management responsibility
Pay Transparency - North AmericaCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$114,300 - $156,200 CAD
