About the Role

The Finance Lead - Financial Information Center (FIC) is an integral part of Latham's Global Finance team. This role will be responsible for providing insight into the economic performance and financial health of clients, matters, and legal teams, while building and maintaining complex analytical models that leverage the firm's data to provide insightful analysis, responding to specific requests of business partners, and leading those colleagues toward a robust financial outcome. This role will be located in our New York Office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:
  • Identifying, developing, and maintaining new opportunities for the FIC team by collaborating with cross-functional teams and leveraging insights to enhance meaningful outcomes and cross-functional relationships
  • Leveraging project management principles to manage firmwide financial projects and complete other complex financial requests needed by department management
  • Applying business, economic, finance, and accounting principles to the firm's internal financial data to help firm leaders simplify and ultimately solve complex problems, and leveraging SAP Business Objects to query data, and Excel to effectively and efficiently synthesize data
  • Working to ensure the FIC team delivers a quality professional product within the established timeframe and with consistent procedures to maximize accuracy and minimize turn-around time on both quick daily requests and complex long term analytical and technology projects
  • Developing standard tools for reporting and analyzing data, and maintaining detailed records documenting procedures, methodologies, and sources of information employed during the performance of all analytical tasks
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

And have:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
  • A minimum of five (5) years of analytical experience in finance, accounting, or related professional services environment
  • A minimum of five years of cumulative experience
  • A minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience at professional services organization, preferably

Pay Range

USD $145,000.00 - USD $160,000.00 /Yr.
