Job DescriptionDevelopers develop, test and integrate applications, frameworks and tools in a controlled environment. With expertise in a specific technology environment, they are responsible for software-specific design and realization, as well as testing, deployment and release management or technical application management of client-specific package based solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide day to day application support and administration for FileNet P8 environments, components, and related workflows
- Troubleshoot issues related to FileNet Content Engine, Process Engine, application errors, authentication, and repository access
- Perform maintenance activities such as configuration updates, patch application, environment monitoring, and scheduled maintenance tasks
- Support workflow updates, queue management, event actions, and content repository configurations
- Analyze support tickets, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes or escalate appropriately
- Monitor FileNet system health, logs, database connections, storage utilization, and background processes
- Support integrations with external applications, APIs, and downstream systems connected to FileNet
- Assist with small enhancements, including configuration changes, template updates, property adjustments, and minor workflow modifications
- Participate in change, incident, and problem management processes aligned with organizational SLAs
- Collaborate with senior developers, architects, and infrastructure teams to resolve complex platform issues
- Maintain documentation including runbooks, troubleshooting guides, system configurations, and support procedures
- Participate in daily standups, support meetings, and continuous improvement activities
- Provide afternoon shift coverage for support tickets, incidents, and maintenance activities, including clear end of day handoffs
Required Skills & Experience:- 4+ years of hands on experience supporting or administering FileNet P8 in enterprise environments
- Strong knowledge of:
o FileNet Content Engine (CE)
o Process Engine / Workflow
o Workplace XT or Content Navigator
o Object stores, classes, metadata, and security - Experience troubleshooting FileNet issues related to workflows, authentication, repository access, and system performance
- Familiarity with WebSphere / WebLogic / application servers used with FileNet
- Knowledge of SQL for queries, validation, and basic data troubleshooting
- Understanding of integrations with FileNet APIs, REST/SOAP services, and downstream systems
- Experience working with logging/monitoring tools for FileNet environments
- Solid understanding of ITIL-based processes: incident, problem, and change management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently during support windows
- Good communication and documentation skills for collaborating across teams and maintaining support knowledge
Nice to Have:- Exposure to scripting (Shell, PowerShell), Java basics, or FileNet certification
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is
: $62,874- $147,504 CAD. Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
