Description:

Facilities Supervisor - Electrical Shop

As Shop Supervisor, you will manage Electrical shop operations, including time management, payroll, shift coverage and scheduling. Evaluates the performance and condition of the system. Participates in the planning and implementation of upgrades, modifications to the system or installations of new equipment. Functions as a mechanic trade expert who resolves complex system problems and oversees repairs efficiently and timely. Orders parts and equipment for system, and maintains inventory of parts and/or equipment needed to support system. Troubleshoots equipment within the system and supervises the repairs or adjustments as performed by shop staff. Cooperates with the Project Managers in planning and implementing projects within the complex that involve the various systems. Maintains and updates the on-site reference library and training center for specialty. Resolves complex issues regarding the systems. Works closely with the Building Supervisor organizing team members to successfully resolve the difficult problems. Maintains adequate supply of materials and equipment. Participates in the selection of vendors and prepares purchase requisitions. Reviews completed job orders. Ensures all work is captured on the CMMS system in a timely manner. Attends and participates in weekly scheduling meetings with the Planner/Schedulers.

This position will be Monday-Friday 8am-4pm, but may require some weekend shifts for emergency coverage.

Required Criteria
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 7-10 years in the electrical field
  • Knowledge in the use of CMMS systems to organize and track staff work performance


Preferred Criteria:
  • NYC Master Electrician License


Salary Range:

$121,000-$148,500/Annual
