Full Job Description
A Snapshot of Your Day

As the Exhaust Systems Auxiliary Engineer, you will be responsible for creating technical specifications and defining requirements according to Siemens Energy design standards, fulfill tasks and targets set by the organization, resolve any issues which may arise in the manufacturing process or in the field, and provide technical support as well as trouble shooting for Exhaust Gas Systems.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Preparation of technical specifications, verification of supplier bids with clarifications, and technical supplier negotiations including risk assessment and commercial selection support for the Exhaust Gas system.
  • Reviewing internal and external designs and documentation.
  • Support procurement department regarding technical issues.
  • Coordination with Lead Engineer, Customer, Procurement, Suppliers, other Engineering departments, and Project Management.
  • Ensuring alignment of the supplier's solution with requirements specification, customer needs, and interface partners.
  • Attend manufacturing shop inspections, perform field/site support during installation, commissioning, and warranty, and provide proposal support for Bid Management team.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline (or equivalent relevant experience), and 8+ years relevant technical experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of auxiliary mechanical systems of a gas turbine, such as air intake, acoustic enclosure, ventilation, and firefighting.
  • Capability to handle cross-functional and cross-product line initiatives, domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to work as part of a larger global engineering team in a collaborative manner.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form and to interface within a wide range of organizations both internally and externally.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
