Position Description

We are seeking a high-performing Executive Communications Manager to join our executive communications team. Reporting to the Director of Executive Communications, you will support the execution of Okta's partner-first transformation narrative and elevate the thought leadership of the CRO and the broader Revenue Organization executive bench in the security and AI space. Working closely with your manager, you will develop compelling content and communications across internal and external channels, with a particular focus on executive thought leadership, partner narrative development, and high-stakes event support.

This is a rare opportunity to sit at the intersection of content, operations, and execution-supporting a revenue leadership team driving transformation and growth. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, highly accountable, and capable of grasping both business strategy and the underlying technology, particularly in the context of identity security, AI, and enterprise software.
Key Responsibilities

Partner-First Narrative & Storytelling
  • Define and amplify Okta's partner-first narrative, creating clear, repeatable storylines that demonstrate partner value and market opportunity.
  • Create executive messaging frameworks and GTM communication collateral that connect partner strategy to customer imperatives and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with PR, sales, and channel teams to source and translate partner programs, co-selling wins, and success stories into compelling market narratives.

Thought Leadership & Content Development
  • Research, draft, and ghostwrite high-quality bylines, opinion pieces, and social content for the CRO and Revenue executives to establish them as authorities in security, AI, and enterprise transformation.
  • Develop mainstage content, keynotes, panels, and talking points for high-stakes milestone events, including Sales Kickoff (SKO) and the Partner Summit at Oktane.
  • Monitor industry trends in security and AI to identify proactive thought leadership opportunities and partner closely with the PR team to prepare executives for media interactions, press interviews, and speaking engagements.
CRO Organization Communications
  • Apply change management principles to design thoughtful internal communication plans for organizational shifts, restructuring, and strategy pivots.
  • Create and manage essential CRO organization communications-including All Hands meetings, town halls, announcements, and change briefings-keeping global revenue teams aligned with company vision and GTM strategy.
  • Develop an internal communications strategy that fosters deep cross-functional connections and amplifies high-impact sales wins and co-selling success stories to drive engagement.
What You'll Bring to the Role & What We're Looking For
  • 7+ years of communications experience in technology/SaaS, with expertise in partner program communications, channel marketing, field or GTM communications. Prior experience in PR or corporate communications is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to write and produce exceptional content with flawless editing skills.
  • Experience developing executive thought leadership and positioning technology leaders as credible industry voices.
  • Strong business and technical acumen with an understanding of identity security, AI, and the competitive landscape.
  • Excellent project management and execution skills-capable of juggling multiple concurrent priorities, moving fast, delivering on commitments, and working autonomously.
  • Exceptional executive presence with the ability to collaborate effectively across matrixed organizations, work with senior leaders, and handle confidential content with discretion.
  • AI literacy and knowledge of AI tools to create efficiencies in content development and communications workflows.
  • Occasional travel required.
  • BS/BA degree.
