Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of an Executive Chef:
The Executive Chef is a working chef and provides leadership in all kitchens and modeling our hospitality culture.
The chef is responsible for the overall coordination of food preparation for the entire community.
The chef will ensure recipes and standards are maintained and produce the highest quality food product.
Included in the chef's responsibilities are cooking and baking activities, dietary standards, sanitation, quality and nutritional value of food.
The chef is expected to oversee the training and development of culinary personnel, and to maintain a positive work environment for staff.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
A minimum of ten years' experience as an executive chef or sous chef in a hotel, private club, fine dining restaurant or other similar operation is preferred.
Excellent management, interpersonal, team building, and communication skills.
Post secondary courses in restaurant management, nutrition or related field preferred. Degree or Certificate from a culinary institute preferred.
Must be ServeSafe Certified.
Must have or being willing to obtain (within 12 months of hire) a CDM (Certified Dietary Manager) certification,
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
