Full Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and accomplished prosecutor for the position of Executive Assistant District Attorney in the Community Partnerships Division which currently includes the Community Engagement, Youth Empowerment and Civic Awareness Units. Responsibilities include:
  • Overseeing the management of the Community Partnerships Division, which handles hundreds of community events each year-and supervising a team of about twenty staff members
  • Advising the District Attorney on community event invitations and staffing these events
  • Developing and implementing public safety programming for the community
  • Reviewing complaints and public safety concerns received from community members and making appropriate referrals
  • Serving as a liaison between elected officials, community leaders, and the QDA office.
  • Attending weekly and/or daily bureau briefings with the District Attorney and her senior staff
  • Staying current on community issues and concerns

This position requires attending events on weekends, holidays and evenings.

Qualifications: Interested applicants must possess a J.D. degree, be an active member of the New York State Bar in good standing and have at least 20 years of post-J.D. experience.

Applicants should also have:
  • Extensive management experience in a prosecutor's office
  • Experience in Queens community affairs or community relations
  • Significant experience in planning and supervising large events
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Existing relationships with local elected officials, Queens community based organizations, Queens clergy members, Queens civic associations preferred

Salary: $227,000
