We are currently seeking a ERP Senior Specialist to join our team in New Jersey, New Jersey (US-NJ), United States (US).

Job Description:
SAP Program Project Manager (PMO) -
Location: Bridgewater, NJ • Hybrid
Department: PMO
Reports to: Senior Project Manager, PMO
Start: ASAP

s part of Hamamatsu's SAP transformation (S/4HANA + Sales Cloud/Service Cloud), this role provides hands-on PMO leadership, SAP governance, cross-track coordination, and program controls. This is an operations-heavy role with deep involvement in SAP workstreams, data readiness, integration planning, documentation management, and vendor oversight.
Role Snapshot
You will operate at the center of the SAP program-driving schedule integrity, risk management, RAID control, documentation governance, testing readiness, cutover preparation, and communication across SAP, HPK, vendors, and internal teams. Approximately 80% PMO operations, 20% SAP delivery enablement.
Key Responsibilities
SAP Program Governance & Standards
- Maintain SAP PMO governance structure, including stage gates, decision logs, RAID logs, scope/change management, and program documentation.
- Maintain the SAP master portfolio, cross-track dependencies, integration points, and benefits register.
- Ensure audit-ready documentation for SAP-related work, including ISO-aligned PMO artifacts.
- Create and maintain SAP dashboards (RAG status, KPIs, critical path, data readiness, test progress, cutover readiness).
SAP Delivery Coordination
- Support day-to-day coordination across SAP workstreams: Finance, Sales/CE, Service Cloud, Operations, Data Migration, Integrations, Infrastructure/Environment Management.
- Assist with Explore/Realize/Deploy deliverables, including requirements traceability, backlog tracking, and dependency management.
- Facilitate workshops, fit-gap sessions, KT sessions, and ensure correct SMEs are present and prepared.
- Track data objects, migration cycles, test scenarios, cutover activities, and hypercare tasks; escalate delays or blockers.
Tools & Automation
- Administer and maintain SAP PMO tools: MS Project, SharePoint/Teams, project repositories, and PMO dashboards.
- Automate repetitive SAP PMO tasks (RAID updates, reporting cycles, documentation routing, reminders).
Financials, Vendors, and Contract Oversight
- Track SAP vendor T&M burn, change orders, milestone billing, and coordinate internal approvals.
- Monitor SAP partner deliverables (SAP, HPK, NTT, and others), ensuring contractual obligations and timelines are met.
Training, KT & Knowledge Management
- Maintain SAP PMO documentation for training, onboarding, KT capture, and ISO-related documentation.
- Support SAP-related internal training coordination and ensure SMEs receive the necessary materials and pre-reads.
SAP Enablement (20%)
- Provide hands-on support for S/4HANA, SAP Sales Cloud, and SAP Service Cloud execution activities, including data validation, testing document preparation, UAT readiness, cutover logistics, and hypercare tracking.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree.
- 10+ years professional experience in the US, preferably in manufacturing or complex technology/electronics environments.
- 9-14+ years in project management or PMO roles.
- Proven experience supporting large-scale SAP programs (S/4HANA, Sales Cloud/CE, Service Cloud).
- Strong understanding of SAP program structures (Explore-Realize-Deploy), SAP governance, cross-functional dependencies, and data/testing lifecycle.
- Skilled in PMO toolsets: MS Project, SharePoint/Teams, Excel, and portfolio dashboards.
- Demonstrated experience driving enterprise adoption of project/portfolio tools.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management; ability to influence resistant audiences using data-driven arguments.
- Experience with PPM tools (Project for the Web, Monday.com, Asana).
- US Citizen or Green Card holder (no sponsorship).
Preferred
- PMP or PRINCE2-7 certification.
- Automation skills (Microsoft automation, workflow tools).
- Experience with SAP data migration, testing cycles, or cutover execution.
Compensation & Contract
- Type: Temporary to Contract, full-time.
- Location: Hybrid (2 days/week onsite in Bridgewater, NJ).
