The Manager, Equipment Design leads the Equipment Design function to deliver safe, compliant, and reliable DRA injection equipment that meets customer and business needs. This role sets design standards, processes, and technical direction while overseeing key programs, including MOC and skid IoT, to drive continuous improvement and innovation. Partners cross-functionally with fabrication, field service, sales, and IT to ensure designs are executable, scalable, and aligned with operational requirements. Receives functional guidance from Manager, Equipment Services. Role is not limited to the listed responsibilities and includes additional duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop, and manage the Equipment Design team to achieve performance, quality, and delivery objectives
- Develop appropriate processes to ensure designs meet business needs, are safe to operate, and capable of highly reliable product injection
- Manage the publication of skid drawing packages and updates as requested by the Equipment Fabrication team and other stakeholders
- Ensure designs meet current version of all applicable codes, regulations, and company standards
- Provide technical leadership and support for the injection equipment program, including work orders, skid orders, design requests, and presentations
- Provide and maintain effective injection equipment procedures and technical documentation, including function test documents and skid manuals
- Drive continuous improvement projects for injection equipment by owning the MOC program, to ensure LSPI injection equipment designs are best-in-class offerings, requiring close collaboration with Equipment Fabrication team and other stakeholders
- Lead business and marketing development projects for successful execution of new product development efforts
- Provide injection equipment training to new hires, customers, and others
- Manage the skid IoT program, including installation design, DAB onboarding process, technical support, and performance reporting
- Manage external vendors and partners to extend design capabilities and support program delivery

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- Understanding applicable equipment requirements/standards (ISO, ASTM, etc.)
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, electrical, or civil engineering
- Seven or more years of applicable industry experience (such as oil and gas or pipeline operation)
- Demonstrated operational / process engineering experience
- Demonstrated project management experience
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Demonstrated leadership ability, either as a formal manager or leading project teams, is strongly preferred
- Electrical and Control Systems design and troubleshooting experience
- Registered Professional Engineer or EIT Certification
Job & Physical Requirements:- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular, full-time basis without restrictions.
- Primarily office-based engineering work with regular use of a computer and design software
- Periodic work in manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environments to support testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning
- Ability to review equipment in shop or field environments, which may require standing, walking, or climbing stairs/ladders
- Ability to travel to fabricators, suppliers, LSPI locations, and field sites as needed (approximately 10-20%)
