Job Summary

We are seeking an Epic Willow Analyst with strong healthcare and Epic application experience to support the design, configuration, development, testing, maintenance, and optimization of Epic applications and workflows. The ideal candidate will have current Epic certification in at least one area, preferably Beacon and/or Willow, along with strong knowledge of clinical and healthcare workflows. The role will involve application leadership, stakeholder collaboration, workflow optimization, system configuration, testing, production support, training, and team mentorship.

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise Epic application design, development, and maintenance activities for applications under direct responsibility.
• Collaborate with end users to design Epic Beacon/Willow workflows and recommend corrective adjustments or enhancements.
• Determine staffing requirements, perform capacity planning, and supervise team resources to ensure effective and efficient operations.
• Serve as a mentor, resource, and primary advisor for team members.
• Lead all phases of small to medium-sized application projects, including design, build, testing, Epic software upgrades, adoption of new functionality, and significant workflow enhancements.
• Provide Epic product expertise for the design, build, and testing of assigned modules, including Optime.
• Collaborate with end users to design and build Epic solutions in a timely and professional manner and implement corrective configurations or enhancements.
• Participate in design and validation sessions and ensure appropriate documentation, follow-up, and issue escalation.
• Provide technical and clinical consultation, including application configuration and system recommendations.
• Review, analyze, and evaluate system needs and develop recommendations for customers.
• Develop, support, and maintain system design, build, and other required application documentation.
• Perform daily monitoring of applications in production.
• Provide support for application incidents reported through the help desk, including 24/7 on-call coverage as required.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of Epic software functionality and operational workflows.
• Perform detailed analysis of workflows, data collection, reporting requirements, and technical issues associated with Epic applications.
• Work with trainers to develop and maintain application-specific training curriculum and materials.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and manage changes to specifications.
• Prioritize, coordinate, and implement system updates and requested changes.
• Review and test each new release and troubleshoot issues and questions reported by end users.
• Adhere to organizational standards for system configuration and change control.
• Develop strong relationships with end-user communities, customers, and business partners.
• Facilitate communication with stakeholders from initial requirements through final implementation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and escalate complex issues as appropriate.

Required Qualifications
• 7+ years of combined experience across healthcare and/or IT domains, with at least 5 years of Epic configuration experience.
• Active/current Epic certification in at least one area.
• Experience with Epic Beacon and/or Willow is preferred.
• More than 4 years of Epic experience or a minimum of 7 years of direct clinical experience.
• Strong Epic application knowledge and experience with building, testing, supporting, and training.
• Experience with Optime workflows.
• Strong healthcare domain knowledge, including clinical documentation workflows, surgical workflows, and patient flow.
• Experience analyzing clinical workflows, data collection, reports, and technical issues associated with Epic applications.
• Experience translating business requirements into functional specifications and application configurations.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with end users, technical teams, clinical stakeholders, and business partners.

Preferred Qualifications
• Epic certification in Willow, Beacon, or related Epic applications.
• Demonstrated team management, cross-team communication, and leadership experience.
• Experience with device integration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• 2+ years of resource management and/or team lead experience.
