WHAT YOU WILL DO
Serve as the primary administrator and internal subject matter expert for both SAP (with underlying SQL Server database) and Acumatica.
Manage user access, configurations, integrations, customizations, patches, and upgrades across both platforms.
Partner with finance, operations, and warehouse/site teams to translate business needs into ERP workflows and improvements.
Develop a roadmap for harmonizing or consolidating ERP platforms over time as the company scales through acquisition.
Lead ERP-related workstreams during M&A integration, including data migration, user onboarding, and process alignment.
Design, build, and maintain operational and executive reporting using Power BI (or recommend and implement a better-fit alternative)
Identify, evaluate, and pilot AI tools and automation opportunities that improve productivity, reporting, forecasting, and decision-making.
Translate emerging technology into practical, ROI-justified recommendations for the leadership team.
Establish governance for business applications and data: application-level access controls, change control, data quality, vendor management, and documentation.
Help build out the applications and data function as the company grows - defining processes, recommending future hires, and supporting the eventual CIO/CTO.
HOW YOU WILL QUALIFY
5+ years of progressive experience in IT, business systems, or ERP administration roles.
Hands-on administrative experience with SAP (SAP B1 preferred but not required)
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including queries, performance, backups, and security.
Demonstrated experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI (or comparable BI tool).
Exposure to AI/automation tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, RPA platforms, LLM-based workflows)
Experience with integration tooling (APIs, middleware, iPaaS platforms).
Experience supporting users and systems across multiple physical locations.
Experience supporting an organization through acquisitions, system consolidations, or ERP migrations.
Strong problem-solving skills, business acumen, and ability to communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders.
Self-directed and comfortable owning outcomes in a lean environment without a large IT team to lean on.
