Job Description:

This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, coding solutions, unit testing, and ensuring the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. Job expectations include an awareness of development and testing practices in the industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
  • Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements
  • Performs Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) activities
  • Contributes to story refinement and definition of requirements
  • Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle
  • Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause
  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of data hub solutions using IBM Datastage, Unix, Autosys.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of DDS across platforms, ensuring seamless integration with DB2, Kafka, and other target systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex replication issues, with a strong focus on reducing latency and ensuring high availability and resilience.
  • Optimize performance of IBM Datastage, unix, autosys pipelines, including tuning throughput, subscription parallelism, and resource utilization.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, driving best practices in IBM Datastage and Kafka design, development, and support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, estimate effort, and deliver solutions aligned with business priorities.
  • Ensure production stability by monitoring system health, proactively identifying risks, and implementing remediation strategies.
  • Support testing, deployment, and release activities, including CI/CD processes and production readiness validations.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and implement long-term fixes to improve system reliability.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation through proof-of-concepts, automation, and process enhancements.


Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ Years Relevant IT software experience (Technical-Developer) using DataStage, Database (DB2/ORACLE/Teradata), Unix Shell Script, Autosys
  • Minimum 2 years of development experience in Datastage (Version V8.5 or higher) with experience in processing high volume jobs.
  • Quick learner and self-starter who requires minimal supervision to excel in a dynamic environment
  • Deep understanding of the software development process
  • Strong Written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and quick-learner team player who can take the full ownership of designs from concept to support
  • Understand stakeholders expectations and objectives
  • Work independently; Require less oversight/assistance
  • Ensure processes are followed at all stages of Software Development Life Cycle
  • Participate/host calls independently with onshore business and technology team
  • Should be able to understand the problem and recommend solutions during JAD/discussions/meetings
  • Reviewing requirements specifications and other documents
  • Prepare and/or review Impact Analysis, HLD and LLD
  • Develop & unit test Complex Programs/Component
  • Follow/implement Iterative/Agile methodology
  • Suggest process improvements to achieve or exceed desired quality
  • Good knowledge in ETL Datastage
  • Strong Parallel job and Sequence job developing skills with proficient understanding of parallel framework.
  • Proficient in shell scripting, sql and integration of datastage to various other platforms
  • Good understanding of version controlling and code deployment of Datastage assets in a Horizon BitBucket environment.

Pay range

$88,800.00 - $144,800.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
