The Product Manager plays a critical role in our ability to plan, execute, and deliver improvements to our products. This is a Beverly on-site position. You will work in a cross-functional matrix environment responsible for the development of engineering project plans for new product introduction and equipment enhancements.
Key Responsibilities: - Help to identify requirements with engineering project and product managers to understand needs and establish an approach and methodology for project plans, schedules, prioritization, resource allocations and reporting.
- Coach project engineers through the project scheduling and management processes. Encourage information exchange within the project team and meet with Engineering functional groups/engineers as required to review progress.
- Support tradeoff analysis, including prioritization, recommendation between cost, features, performance, quality, and time to market The Engineering Project Manager will help to identify resource constraints and recommend solutions to achieve commitments.
- Set standard work practices for managing the communication flow and controlling change.
- Analyze and review all project financial data. Initiate change to enhance the accuracy of accounting and tracking project information.
- Provide status reports and metrics to functional managers, product managers, core teams and project teams on a regular basis. Participate in and contribute to program post-mortem reviews.
- Evaluate and implement project management related technology where appropriate.
- Support Product Marketing through ROI analysis, financial analysis of upgrades and retrofits
Required Skills:- Solid project management skills, including strong organizational and planning skills.
- Demonstrated ability managing multi-discipline engineering projects required.
- An understanding of how to manage and balance costs, schedule, and performance.
- Ability to investigate problems and recommend solutions to minimize project risk
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to scope and cost new project requests (Non-Standard Requests (NSR))
- Manage Customer Commit database
- Manage product structure, review and approve product change requests
- Implemented standards and practices in a technical environment.
- Mature and solid consensus and team-building skills.
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A technical background in a new product development environment.
- Strong Engineering background.
Desired Skills:- Ability to understand the equipment configuration and product development processes
- Ability to respond to Customers, Account Teams, Field Service and Product Support
- Ability to manage and/or facilitate Beta Sites, Joint Development initiatives, Quality and Problem Resolution processes.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills, while being assertive and detailed.
- Task driven personality, be decisive and deal with ambiguity
- Work independently setting appropriate priorities to meet deadlines and achieve goals
- Facilitate and negotiate with cross functional teams effectively
- Motivate people without having them report to you
- Project Management certification preferred
- Semiconductor Equipment Development experience preferred
U.S. BASE SALARY RANGE$141,511.20 - $212,266.80
This base salary range reflects the typical compensation for this role across U.S. locations.
Our salary ranges are determined by role and level; individual pay is determined based on
multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, work
location, and internal equity. The range provides the opportunity for growth and progression as
you develop within the role.
Base pay is one part of our U.S. total compensation package which includes eligibility in the
Axcelis Team Incentive bonus plan, and comprehensive benefits package (for regular
employees working 20+ hours a week).
