Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and refine manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies and equipment installation
- Optimize manufacturing using 3D model data and digital work instructions
- Analyze electrical, electromechanical, and cable schematics during development and production
- Champion new technologies such as automation, robotics, and computer-aided manufacturing software for enhanced efficiency and quality
- Evaluate and improve the performance of equipment, including IoT devices, to ensure operational excellence
- Create and update assembly work instructions; publish clear documentation for the production floor
- Identify, maintain, and manage tool lists required for efficient product assembly
- Investigate technical issues, provide guidance to manufacturing operators, and troubleshoot failures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and support continuous improvement
- Leverage factory data to develop statistical process control and integrate data analytics for ongoing optimization
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste and improve overall efficiency
- Offer input on product design to maximize use of manufacturing equipment and techniques
- Work closely with subject matter experts to implement functional improvements
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a relevant discipline with 2+ years of related work experience
- Proficient in analyzing electrical schematics and diagrams
- Experienced in cable manufacturing and electromechanical assembly
- Ability to write and update assembly work instructions
- Skilled in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher)
- Highly detail-oriented and effective team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated self-starter, goal-oriented with the ability to multitask across multiple projects
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with SAP (Qnotes, Routings, Bills of Material) or similar manufacturing systems
- Knowledge of design for manufacturing concepts
- Experience with lean manufacturing and process improvement initiatives
- Exposure to electrical engineering and experience with Zuken
