About the Role
Join our dynamic team as a Manufacturing Engineer supporting high-volume contact lens production in a state-of-the-art, 24/7 manufacturing facility. You will be hands-on on the production floor, directly impacting process efficiency, product quality, and compliance in a regulated, safety-driven environment. This role offers the chance to drive meaningful change, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and advance your engineering career in the life sciences sector.

Responsibilities

- Provide direct, hands-on support to daily manufacturing operations on the production floor.
- Troubleshoot and maintain automation and controls equipment to maximize operational uptime.
- Partner with line leaders to resolve production issues and implement effective solutions.
- Lead and execute productivity improvement projects focused on efficiency and cost reduction.
- Ensure strict adherence to regulated processes, SOPs, and product safety standards.
- Collaborate across engineering, quality, and operations teams to drive continuous improvement.
- Constructively challenge processes to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.

Required Skills and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing or controls engineering within large-scale, high-volume production environments.
- Strong background in automation and equipment troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, regulated settings with high accountability.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or life sciences.
- Familiarity with plastic injection molding or metrology equipment.
- PMP or Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Master Molder certification.
