Role Summary:
This role is foundational to enabling Caterpillar’s Connected Worksite vision, where all assets within a site are seamlessly connected, generating actionable data to improve productivity, safety, and sustainability. By leading the development of a scalable site connectivity solution, you will directly impact the future of digital operations across Caterpillar customers worldwide.

The Engineering Manager – Site Connectivity will lead a high-performing engineering team responsible for designing, developing, and deploying end-to-end connectivity solutions across customer worksites. This role operates at the intersection of connected assets, industrial networks, edge computing, and enterprise digital platforms, enabling seamless integration of machines, systems, and applications across diverse environments.

This position requires strong alignment with Caterpillar’s Digital and Connectivity strategy, with a focus on industrial IoT, system integration, security, and multi-site deployments.


What You Will Do:

  • Define and execute Caterpillar’ssite connectivity strategyto support the Connected Worksite vision.
  • Own the portfolio of site connectivity solutions initiatives, including intake, prioritization, and sequencing.
  • Oversee thefull lifecycleof site connectivity solutions from concept through deployment and scale.
  • Ensure deep understanding of customer site environments and operational challenges.
  • Establish scalable delivery models for multi-site, multi-technology deployments.
  • Drive a culture ofinnovation, quality, and continuous improvementwithin the engineering organization.
  • Enable integration betweenCaterpillar assets, third-party equipment, edge systems, and cloud platforms.
  • Focus on delivering solutions that perform inremote, harsh, and latency-constrained environments, improving uptime, asset visibility, and efficiency.
  • Develop and nurture partner eco-system to deliver innovative site connectivity solutions

  • Experience managing global deployments in remote environments
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks for connected systems

  • This position requires the candidate tobe based in either Mossville, IL or Irving, TX (Dallas)

Summary Pay Range:

$159,120.00 - $238,680.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location,job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
