What You Can Expect

In this role, you will own Zoom's employee relations function end to end, from leading complex workplace investigations to building the manager enablement programs that prevent issues before they escalate. You will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and People Business Partners across all US locations, bringing both legal grounding and sound judgment to the most sensitive situations the organization faces. Day to day, the work spans performance documentation, investigation management, compliance training design, and systemic trend analysis, all in service of building a workplace where employees and teams can do their best work.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end workplace investigations across all US jurisdictions, partnering with Legal and People Business Partners to assess risk, document findings, and drive resolution.
  • Manage the Performance Improvement Plan lifecycle, ensuring documentation quality, timeline adherence, and consistent application across the organization.
  • Coach managers on performance documentation, difficult conversations, and accountability practices that prevent escalation and support employee development.
  • Design and deliver manager enablement programs on feedback, performance management, hiring practices, and compliance topics.
  • Analyze employee relations trends, exit data, and survey feedback to identify systemic issues and recommend data-driven interventions to leadership.


What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of employee relations experience, including leading complex workplace investigations involving multiple stakeholders and senior employees.
  • Deep knowledge of California employment law and multi-state US compliance requirements, with demonstrated ability to apply legal insight to risk assessment and organizational decision-making.
  • Proven track record of coaching managers through performance documentation, difficult conversations, and accountability processes, including providing real-time guidance during active performance situations.
  • Precision in documenting investigations, case resolutions, and performance actions with the detail and consistency required to withstand legal scrutiny.
  • Experience navigating difficult conversations with senior leaders and employees while remaining objective, grounded, and solution-focused.
  • Background building scalable employee relations processes, compliance training programs, and documentation systems in high-growth or evolving environments.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or employment law certification; experience in technology or SaaS companies with distributed workforces preferred.


Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum:
$97,600.00

Maximum:
$225,700.00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
