POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Alutiiq Logistics & Maintenance Services, LLC (ALMS) has an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Control Systems Technician (SCADA) at Naval Air Station in Pensacola, FL. The Electronics Control Systems Technician (SCADA) is responsible for the Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building control systems.
  • Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on all SCADA remote terminal units (RTUs), programmable logic controllers (PLCs), radios, wiring, antennas, and enclosures utilized in the network
  • Troubleshoots PLC and SCADA systems and equipment failures; analyzes and diagnoses problems
  • Programs RTU's, PLC's and radios to communicate with system software
  • Implements new installations of equipment from electrical, electronic controllers, transmitters, client devices, peripherals, etc.
  • Tests and runs diagnostics to verify connectivity of equipment
  • Deploys system patches and firmware
  • Programs, installs, and tests switches, routers, modems, and other network equipment
  • Loads test batteries, uninterrupted power supplies, and tests and repairs charging systems
  • Must be able to read and interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams
  • Performs other related duties as require


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Five years of skilled level experience in SCADA related systems installation, maintenance, and/or repair; or any combination of education and/or experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for acceptable job performance
  • Knowledge of Sixnet series automation and networking is a plus

Pay rate: $43.63 per hour
