POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Alutiiq Information Management, LLC a subidiary of Alutiiq, LLC has an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer toperform IPT Lead support functions for Reverse Engineering, Science and Technology for Obsolescence, Repair and Evaluation (RESTORE) Laboratory. This position to support the sustainment of DOD Airspace and C4I systems while institutionalizing new technologies. This includes using Computer Aided Design/Engineering (CAD/CAE) to develop Installation Requirements Drawings (IRDs), Installation Design Package (IDP) and Technical Data Packages (TDPs).
  • Required to work directly with the Government customer to assess materials, develop components, assess, interpret, and approve drawing requirements for multiple engineering tasks over a broad range of technology scope.
  • Perform testing and evaluation of developing systems onboard various ships and shore sites worldwide. Responsibility to perform onsite engineering activity as communications, security and power system design, installation and testing progresses through to operational status.
  • Use Computer Aided Design/Engineering (CAD/CAE) to develop Installation Requirements Drawings (IRDs), Installation Design Package (IDP) and Technical Data Packages (TDPs).
  • The position will include the creation of 3D CAD models of existing systems derived from laser scanned measurement data.
  • Use a variety of traditional metrology/measurement devices as well as being willing to learn the use of advanced tools such as laser scanning, photogrammetry and other laser measurement devices which are currently in use.

Payrate: $80,000 to $90,000 Annually

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 3 - 5 years of experience working with engineering drawings.
  • Ability to provide interpretation and preparation of 3D engineering drawings. Creating, editing, or proofing, US Government Engineering documentation and applicable standards to include 2D Drawings, 3D drawings, exploded diagrams, assembly diagrams, is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of engineering specifications (ASME Y[redacted], ASME Y14.5M-2004, MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-130)
  • Knowledge of following standards: NAVWAR M-4750.5B (IRD), SSCPAC Instruction TD 417 (TDP Development) and COMSPAWAR M-4720.1 (Shore Installation Process Handbook - IDP Development).
  • Experience in Building Information Modeling (BIM) in programs such as Autodesk Revit is desired.
  • U.S. Citizenship status required
  • Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
