Full Job Description
1 Resource Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to oversee and manage all electrical construction activities for a large-scale project in Barstow, California. The Electrical Superintendent will be responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and executing electrical installation work while ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, quality standards, and applicable California licensing requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience leading electrical crews on commercial, industrial, or government construction projects and have a proven track record of delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision of electrical field personnel, subcontractors, and related trades.
  • Plan, coordinate, and schedule electrical construction activities to meet project milestones and deadlines.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and schedules to ensure proper execution of work.
  • Conduct daily jobsite inspections to verify quality workmanship and compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with project management, quality control, safety personnel, inspectors, and client representatives.
  • Monitor labor productivity and manpower requirements.
  • Ensure all electrical installations comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC), California Electrical Code, project specifications, and local regulations.
  • Identify and resolve field issues, conflicts, and technical challenges.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, production tracking, and project documentation.
  • Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and project planning sessions.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company safety policies, OSHA standards, and client requirements.
  • Support commissioning, testing, and turnover activities as required.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 7-10 years of electrical construction experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory role such as Foreman, General Foreman, or Superintendent.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial, industrial, and/or government electrical construction projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and electrical schematics.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with construction documentation, reporting, and scheduling processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple crews and coordinate with other trades.


Requirements
Certification Requirements (Mandatory)

Per contract requirements, the individual overseeing and executing this specific trade must hold:
  • A valid Master Electrician Certification or Journeyman Electrician Card; and
  • A current California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) Electrician Certification.

Important: In accordance with California state requirements, any electrician who performs electrical work on a jobsite within the State of California must be certified as an electrician through the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Candidates must maintain all required certifications in good standing throughout the duration of the project.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience on federal, military, infrastructure, energy, or industrial construction projects.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification.
  • Experience managing prevailing wage projects.
  • Experience with commissioning and startup activities.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to walk extensive construction sites and climb ladders and stairs.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to wear required PPE and work safely in active construction environments.
