Our client, a leader in Security & Healthcare Technology, is seeking a Project Manager / Estimator with Subject Matter Expert (SME)-level knowledge of security technology systems to join their team. This is a remote role within Alberta, ideally based in Calgary or Edmonton, and includes approximately 25% travel across the province.
Responsibilities In this role, you will lead end-to-end delivery of security technology projects while supporting both project execution and service work:
- Manage all aspects of projects, including contracts, budgets, schedules, labour, materials, and deficiencies
- Estimate project costs, manage change orders, and submit tenders
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, consultants, and end users
- Coordinate billing documentation and ensure timely payment collection
- Analyze project reports and provide insights to support performance improvement
- Ensure completion of project documentation, including manuals and as-built drawings
- Collaborate closely with the Operations Manager, field teams, and internal support staff to meet project goals
- Create and maintain drawings, configuration documentation, and tracking tools
- Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to support system design and documentation requirements
- Support system upgrades, migrations, troubleshooting, and repairs for clients across Alberta
- Work with multiple stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
Required Qualifications & Skills- 3+ years of project management and estimating experience within construction, electrical, or related technology fields
- SME-level knowledge of security technology systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, nurse call (Ascom certification an asset), and RTLS
- In-depth technical understanding of security system protocols, networking, and databases
- Proven experience performing system upgrades, troubleshooting, and migrations
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Trades certification or electrical TQ considered an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with Procore and Accubid is an asset
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
