- We're looking for someone who brings strong technical skills, a collaborative spirit, and a desire to help shape Alaska's future. The ideal candidate will have experience in power, telecommunications, and control systems including SCADA systems and a passion for making things better. Candidates with RCDD certification are encouraged to apply.
What You'll Do:
- Design and implement electrical systems for Federal, municipal, and industrial projects
- Lead project phases from concept through construction
- Mentor junior engineers and delegate technical work
- Conduct inspections and field visits
- Coordinate across disciplines and with external stakeholders
- Stay on top of codes, standards, and best practices for Arctic and rural conditions
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- RCDD certification preferred
- 4+ years of experience with:
- Lighting and facility controls
- Telecommunication
- Power generation/distribution
- Pumping systems and industrial controls
- Water/wastewater, lighting, telecom, and controls
- UFC/USGS standards, Arctic design, and hazardous locations
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; REVIT required
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally for field work
