Job DescriptionThe Electrical Engineer/Designer at Grantek is expected to use their technical background and knowledge to architect solutions, organize information. They will carry out varied electrical design assignments including the design, analysis, and testing of electrical control systems and quantification of hardware, plus writing technical documentation.
- Design and develop moderate to complex electrical control systems
- Create bidding documentation and contribute to functional design specifications
- Perform electrical risk assessments and manage material procurement
- Develop panel fabrication specifications
- Troubleshoot installations and lead commissioning activities (FAT/SAT)
- Conduct technical site surveys and prepare detailed reports
- Generate contractor schedules and work plans
- Lead bidding meetings and contractor walkthroughs
- Monitor subcontractors for safety, quality, and budget compliance
- Track project budgets and address cost variances
- Engage directly with clients for technical discussions and requirements gathering

- Pneumatic and hydraulic control systems
- Safety monitoring relays (Category 3 systems)
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical education
- 3-6 years of experience in electrical control system design
- Strong experience specifying and implementing PLC-based systems
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and commission independently
- Experience managing project deliverables within budget and schedule
- Comfortable in client-facing technical discussions
- Willingness to travel between 30-50%
