Buildings team in Vancouver as an
Intermediate Electrical Contract Administrator, where you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, compliant, and high-quality electrical construction for complex building projects across British Columbia. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with multidisciplinary teams while supporting projects that shape communities and advance sustainable infrastructure.
Your Impact- Administer electrical construction contracts in accordance with the BC Electrical Code, contract documents, and project specifications.
- Review and process shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, and progress claims related to electrical systems.
- Conduct site reviews to verify electrical installations align with design intent, BC Electrical Code requirements, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with electrical engineers, contractors, Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), and inspectors to resolve technical and code-related issues.
- Support inspection readiness and documentation requirements in alignment with Technical Safety BC processes.
- Track construction progress, deficiencies, and corrective actions related to electrical scopes through to resolution.
- Contribute to cost control, schedule adherence, and risk mitigation on building projects.
- Champion safety, quality, and regulatory compliance throughout the construction phase.
The Skills That Set You Apart- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Intermediate experience in electrical contract administration on building projects within British Columbia.
- Working knowledge of the BC Electrical Code, applicable CSA standards, and electrical construction practices.
- Familiarity with Technical Safety BC permitting and inspection processes.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and single-line diagrams.
- Experience collaborating with contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities on active construction sites.
- Strong communication, documentation, and issue-resolution skills.
- Willingness to conduct site visits in active construction environments while adhering to safety requirements.
