Minimum qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in program or project management.
- 2 years of experience in compliance, information security, IT audit, or risk management.
- Experience in EHS management systems or experience managing EHS compliance with environmental programs (e.g., emissions, wastewater, etc.).
Preferred qualifications:- Credentials or certifications from Board of Certified Safety Professionals, NEBOSH or equivalent agencies.
- 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Experience communicating with AHJ's (Federal, State, and Local Authorities) for notifications and permit conformance.
- Experience in data centers or electrical safety.
- Ability to advise, coach, influence, and collaborate with employees to achieve positive EHS outcomes.
- Ability to travel 10% of the time and ability to be onsite 5 days a week.
About the jobAs an EHS Program Manager, you will be a key contributor to continuous improvement across Google's EHS operations. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities - Lead the full lifecycle of EHS programs, which may extend beyond your immediate team, driving impactful operational and technical improvements.
- Anticipate issues, propose solutions, and identify needs to develop or improve EHS operations tools/processes. Evaluate incident data and track corrective actions.
- Evaluate EHS impact during data center design reviews, equipment, and process changes. Perform EHS risk evaluations and define process controls for new processes.
- Ensure comprehensive Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) compliance, manage permits/Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Provide site ownership and drive EHS turn-up of new locations with little supervision, demonstrating complete campus EHS ownership.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, managing dependencies. Own site-based EHS decision-making and serve as a recognized Subject Matter Expert (SME) in multiple EHS verticals.
