EHS Manager

SUMMARY OF ROLE

COMPENSATION: $100,000-$115,000

The EHS Manager supports daily operations by implementing and promoting environmental, health, and safety initiatives to maintain compliance and work toward a zero-injury workplace. This role supports the Plant Manager and collaborates closely with site leadership. #LI-Onsite

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a
  • Conduct routine inspections of safety equipment, waste storage, chemical areas, confined spaces, and general workplace hazards.
  • Support Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Emergency Preparedness, Contractor Safety, and Employee Involvement programs.
  • Track and help close corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) for incidents and unsafe conditions.
  • Promote EHS communication by maintaining safety boards, visual displays, incentive programs, and training records.
  • Assist with employee training programs including hearing conservation, PIT, First Responder, BBP, and other regulatory-required training.
  • Conduct periodic workplace inspections, maintain records, and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Support the Maintenance Manager in safety-related programs such as Lockout/Tagout and Fall Protection.
  • Actively participate in Safety Committee activities and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Assist with ISO certification and reporting of site EHS Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Communicate daily with employees to promote safety awareness and reinforce safe work practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university preferred; safety or quality certification a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of EHS or quality-related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to influence across teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to track, analyze, and report safety data.
  • Experience developing or delivering training preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with frequent interaction with employees
