About the Role
The Editorial Services Specialist is an integral part of Latham’s Brand & Communications team. This role will be responsible for a wide variety of editing/writing projects, while collaborating with the Brand & Communications department on a wide range of editing and writing assignments, often on tight deadlines to develop content for internal and external audiences.This role will be located in our Global Services Office in Downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Other key responsibilities include:
- Gathering information, editing/writing, and coordinating the development of awards nominations, survey responses, and other rankings and accolades submissions
- Editing copy to publicize awards and rankings on a range of internal and external channels
- Drafting and editing post-event summaries and related conference and seminar marketing copies
- Communicating edits and suggestions to a range of lawyers in staff around the globe
- Helping generate new ideas for producing content that is creative and compelling for target audiences
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Demonstrate knowledge of core business writing principals including external and internal communications, branding, tone of voice, and competitive intelligence
- Exhibit well-developed, professional interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm and outside the firm
- Possess excellent language skills including reading, grammar, spelling, and vocabulary to ensure proper and efficient writing
And have:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, or communications, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in communications, journalism, and/or public relations

Pay RangeUSD $75,000.00 - USD $90,000.00 /Yr.
