Job Description:

The Editorial Group Supervisor manages workflow for a cluster of brands. Able to supervise numerous projects at once. Leads the editorial process, assists with team problem solving, and represents Editorial in team and client meetings. A lead editor, fact checker, and proofreader for a variety of promotional and educational materials for the managed care audience from manuscript through print or digital publication.

Responsibilities:
  • Managing workflow for a cluster of brands
  • Lead editor on multiple products and a backup team member on the other brands in the cluster
  • Editing, fact checking, and proofreading a variety of promotional and educational materials for the managed care audience from manuscript through print or digital publication
  • Coordination of timing and quality control of projects, including content editing, styling, proofreading, and fact checking initial manuscript though print or digital publication
  • Working with account executive, project manager, writer, art director, and other team members to ensure that materials are of the highest quality in terms of accuracy, utility, clarity, readability, and appeal
  • Working closely with writers to resolve content/referencing issues
  • Working closely with the account and project management team on content/scheduling and process issues
  • Advises manager about departmental evaluations, training, and scheduling
  • Creating and maintaining style guides and reference citation lists


Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience overseeing multiple brands and medical content editing in pharmaceutical advertising agency, in-house agency, or medical publishing company
  • Knowledge of AMA Manual of Style, 11th edition, essential
  • Articulate oral and written communication skills essential
  • Curiosity/interest in medical topics essential

  • Organization, attention to detail, and the ability to oversee and handle numerous brands at once essential

The range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of an Omnicom Health Group company in the United States. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.

Omnicom's policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom's corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
