THE ROLE

M&C Saatchi World Services is seeking a highly skilled Editor to create engaging, platform-first video content that supports strategic communications, outreach, and engagement initiatives across a diverse portfolio of federal programs. Working closely with creative, communications, account, and strategy teams, you will transform raw footage, motion graphics, audio, and visual assets into compelling stories that resonate with audiences across digital, social, web, and multimedia channels.

You will play a critical role in shaping how complex ideas are communicated through video, ensuring content is visually impactful, audience-focused, brand aligned, and optimized for engagement. Combining exceptional editing expertise with strong storytelling instincts and a deep understanding of digital content consumption, you will work across multiple formats and platforms, balancing creative excellence with speed, adaptability, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Beyond the edit suite, you'll play an active role throughout the production process, supporting podcast recordings, video shoots, interviews, and live productions where editorial thinking can help shape stronger content from the outset.

This is a hybrid role; however, ideally you will live in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region.

Key Responsibilities
• Edit high-quality video content for digital campaigns, social media, websites, presentations, internal communications, and outreach initiatives.
• Transform raw footage, graphics, audio, and multimedia assets into polished, engaging, and strategically aligned video products.
• Shape compelling narratives by identifying strong performances, pacing, structure and emotional moments, ensuring every edit serves the story as well as the communication objective.
• Strong creative judgement, with a strong eye for quality, storytelling and the details that distinguish good work from great work.
• Produce short-form and long-form video content optimized for platforms including Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, TikTok, websites, and enterprise communication channels.
• Create and integrate motion graphics, title sequences, lower thirds, transitions, overlays, subtitles, and branded visual elements.
• Support podcast production through audio cleanup, visual packaging, editing, publishing support, and content repurposing.
• Collaborate with designers, content strategists, campaign managers, and creative leadership to develop multimedia storytelling approaches that support communications objectives.
• Ensure all video content aligns with brand standards, accessibility requirements, platform specifications, and quality expectations.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining consistency, accuracy, and creative excellence.
• Maintain organized project files, multimedia asset libraries, templates, and version control processes.
• Support rapid-turn content development for campaigns, events, leadership communications, and time-sensitive initiatives.
• Participate in creative reviews, feedback cycles, and quality assurance processes to continuously improve content effectiveness.
• Stay current on emerging video trends, editing techniques, AI-enabled creative tools, platform updates, and audience engagement best practices.

Key Attributes
• Experience producing and editing professional video content within a creative, communications, marketing, or digital media environment.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in video editing, visual storytelling, motion graphics, and multimedia content creation.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Strong understanding of pacing, narrative structure, visual storytelling, sound design, and audience engagement principles.
• Sound judgement in using AI-enabled production tools to accelerate workflows, while maintaining creative quality, technical excellence and editorial integrity.
• Recognize where AI tools add value and where human creativity, storytelling and craft remain essential.
• Curious about emerging technologies and committed to continuously evolving production workflows as AI reshapes creative production.
• Experience developing content for social media, digital campaigns, podcasts, presentations, and integrated communications initiatives.
• Ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging, and visually compelling content.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality creative execution.
• Experience collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams across creative, communications, strategy, and account functions.
• Familiarity with motion graphics, animation principles, audio editing, and multimedia production workflows.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards, captioning requirements, and platform-specific content optimization practices.
• Experience supporting federal government, public affairs, international development, or mission-driven communications programs is preferred.
• Location: Hybrid, able to commute regularly to Washington DC office spaces.
• Language Requirements: Fluent written and spoken English required.
